PSP - Ys: The Ark of Napishtim
The long wait for a new installment in Konami?s YS game in North America is over. YS: The Ark of Napishtim, the sixth game of the series, stars YS heroic swordsman Adol Christin. On the run from the Romun military, Adol jumps ship in an attempt to escape. When the ship is attacked and he is thrown into the Great Vortex, he doesn?t expect to come out alive. Then he finds himself washed up on the shore of an island populated by beast people. YS is an action-adventure RPG in the vein of games like ZELDA. Adol carries a sword which he uses to attack and defeat monsters as he helps the Rehda, the beast people, investigate the ancient ruins of the island. The red-haired swordsman can find and use three different swords, each with a different elemental power. These swords can also be upgraded at the blacksmith for a price, making them deal more damage. As Adol defeats enemies, his sword?s power meter will fill. When it?s full, he can unleash a devastating elemental attack on foes. Swords can be swapped with the touch of a button, making it possible to quickly deal different elemental damage to enemies. And as in all RPGs, secrets abound, including powerful armor and items. YS: The Ark of Nepishtim has been a long time coming for YS fans, who will enjoy seeing Adol in action again. RPG gamers won?t want to miss this installment in a classic series, either.
